Dr. Ajay Bhalla

Dr. Ajay Bhalla is a senior gastroenterologist with over 30 years of clinical experience in advanced therapeutic endoscopy, liver diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders. He currently serves as the Director of Gastroenterology at Medanta Noida. His academic journey began with an MBBS from the University of Delhi in 1986. He then earned his DNB in General Medicine from the DNB Board in 1991. Subsequently, he completed his DNB in Gastroenterology from the DNB Board in 1996. Additionally, he underwent a Fellowship in Therapeutic Endoscopy at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School, USA. He also trained at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore, in therapeutic endoscopy and liver transplant medicine. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

He was the first doctor to perform ERCP in Noida. Over 50,000 therapeutic and diagnostic endoscopic procedures have been performed by him. Complex endoscopic procedures, hepatology, and interventional gastroenterology are his areas of expertise. Liver transplantation and pancreatic disorders are also his special interests. Moreover, he manages inflammatory bowel disease, peptic ulcers, and gastrointestinal infections. He is also a member of the Delhi Medical Council.
