- Living donor liver transplantation (LDLT) and complex hepatobiliary procedures are of particular interest to Dr. Amit Rastogi. He developed a wealth of surgical gastroenterology and liver transplantation experience.
He is the Director of the Liver Transplant Team at Medanta, which founded the Institute of Liver Transplantation, the biggest liver transplant facility in India and a well-known program worldwide. The Institute has performed the majority of the nation’s firsts in the field of liver transplantation.
The Team has performed more than 4000 liver transplants, with success rates exceeding 92%.
He was elected as the Liver Transplantation Society of India’s (LTSI) Treasurer for the two-year period 2018–20. He is a founding member of LTSI.
