Dr. Vivek Nangia

Dr. Vivek Nangia is an internationally renowned Interventional Pulmonologist with over 30 years of rich clinical experience. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman & Head of Pulmonology at Max Hospital, Saket. His medical journey began with an MBBS from JN Medical College, Aligarh Muslim University, in 1993. Subsequently, he earned his MD in TB & Respiratory Diseases from the same institution in 1996. A Post Graduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases from LSHTM, University of London, was pursued next in 2009. He then completed his M.Sc. in Infectious Diseases from the same institution in 2012. Extensive training in Sleep Medicine at Stanford University, USA, has also been undertaken by him. Training in Pediatric Pulmonology at Royal Brompton Hospital, London, and Critical Care at Cleveland Clinics, USA, further add to his expertise. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

Additionally, Dr. Nangia is amongst the pioneers to conduct various Bronchoscopic Interventions and Medical Thoracoscopy in Delhi. He has been instrumental in setting up and managing an 11-bedded MICU at Fortis Hospital. A DNB program in Respiratory Medicine was also successfully run by him there. Numerous prestigious awards have been received by him throughout his career. These include the Best Research Award in Interventional Pulmonology at NAPCON (2002) and the Brands Achiever Best Pulmonologist in India Award (2015). He was also honoured by the Delhi Medical Association in 2015. Moreover, he is a Fellow of ACCP, NCCP, ISCCM, IAB, ISDA, and IDSA. Consequently, he is a globally recognized and trusted name in pulmonology.
