Dr. Vivek Barun

Dr. Vivek Barun is a highly skilled Senior Consultant in Neurology & Epilepsy at Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, with extensive experience in managing a wide range of neurological disorders. He has a special interest in epilepsy treatment, drug-resistant epilepsy, presurgical evaluation, and movement disorders. His expertise includes advanced procedures such as Video EEG, VNS, DBS, Subdural Grid, Stereo EEG, and Long-term Video EEG monitoring. Before joining Artemis Hospital, he worked as a Consultant Neurologist at Shree Aggarsain International Hospital, Delhi, and Fortis Hospital, Shalimar Bagh, Delhi.

He completed his MBBS from VMMC & SJH, New Delhi, followed by an MD in Medicine from PGIMER & RML, New Delhi, and later pursued a DM in Neurology from IHBAS, Delhi. Additionally, he holds a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Epilepsy from Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad, and has undergone specialized training in Advanced Neurological Disease Management at Harvard Medical School. His dedication to research and academic excellence is reflected in his numerous contributions to national and international forums. Dr. Barun is a recipient of several awards, including the Winter Epilepsy Quiz 2023 winner and the 3rd prize at the ECON 2023 National Epilepsy Conference. He is also an active member of the Indian and American Epilepsy Societies and the Indian and American Academy of Neurology.
