About Dr. Virender Sekhon
Dr. Virender Sekhon is a highly experienced Paediatric Urologist and Paediatric Surgeon with more than 21 years of clinical experience. She is among the few formally trained Paediatric Urologists in India. Moreover, she has played an important role in establishing Paediatric Urology as a specialized field in the country. She has extensive expertise in diagnosing and treating urinary and genital disorders in children. In addition, she manages conditions from the antenatal stage through adolescence. Her patient-centered approach and surgical precision have earned her recognition among parents and medical professionals alike.
Dr Sekhon completed her MBBS and MS in General Surgery from NSCB Medical College, Jabalpur. She then pursued MCh in Paediatric Surgery from PGIMER, Chandigarh, followed by a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Paediatric Urology from SGPGIMS, Lucknow. Furthermore, she was only the second candidate in India to receive formal training in Paediatric Urology. She has also completed advanced international fellowships in the United States and Europe, including training in robotic paediatric urology. Before joining CK Birla Hospital, Gurugram, she served as Senior Consultant and Head of Paediatric Urology at Medanta – The Medicity. Therefore, she brings exceptional expertise in both conventional and minimally invasive paediatric urological procedures.
