Speciality Interests

Dr. Bahl has significantly contributed to coronary angioplasty and stents, intravascular ultrasound, intra-coronary brachytherapy, fractional flow reserve, cardiac imaging, and catheter ablation techniques. He pioneered TAVI, left atrial appendage closure, rota ablation, and coronary lithotripsy shockwave therapy in the department. He also introduced the procedures of retrograde non-transseptal balloon mitral valvotomy and mitral balloon valvotomy using the Inoue balloon for pulmonary stenosis, aortic stenosis, and IVC obstruction for the first time in India. Additionally, he was the first to perform a leadless pacemaker implantation in the country and established normal indices of diastolic function via Doppler echocardiography.
