Dr. Tarun Sahni

Dr. Tarun Sahni is a renowned General Physician and Internal Medicine Specialist with over 25 years of clinical experience. A graduate of the prestigious Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), he began his medical career by serving in the Indian Navy for more than a decade. Dr. Sahni then gained valuable international exposure while working in the UK and UAE. Upon returning to India, he pioneered the establishment of the country’s first private hyperbaric treatment center at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital in 2000, which he continues to lead. Recognized as the “Father of Modern Hyperbaric Medicine in India,” he has published over 25 research papers and book chapters, and is the recipient of multiple accolades including the Dr. Gupte Award and a place in the Limca Book of Records. He was also honored with the title of Adjunct Professor by AHERF for his contributions to education and research.

Dr. Sahni’s areas of expertise include internal medicine, wound healing, chronic disease management, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. He treats a wide range of conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, infectious diseases, and respiratory issues.
