Dr. Sumit Singh

Dr. Sumit Singh is a distinguished neurologist with over 30 years of extensive experience in the field. He currently serves as the Chief of Neurology at Artemis Hospitals, Gurugram. His medical journey began with an MBBS from MLB Medical College, Jhansi. Subsequently, he earned his MD in Medicine from LLRM Medical College, Meerut. He then pursued his DM in Neurology from AIIMS, Delhi, where he was a topper and received the prestigious BL Soni Gold Medal. In 2002, he established India’s first headache clinic in the government sector at AIIMS. He was also the first to introduce Botulinum toxin for headache treatment in India. Therefore, his contributions to neurology are truly pioneering.

Additionally, Dr. Singh is a renowned Parkinson’s disease specialist with experience in Deep Brain Stimulation surgery patient planning and programming. He is one of the few Botox injectors in the country for Writer’s cramp, Spasmodic torticollis, and other dystonias. Hemifacial spasm, blepharospasm, and spasticity are also treated by him with Botox. Furthermore, he has done groundbreaking research in Myasthenia gravis, Multiple sclerosis, and movement disorders. He has authored 126 publications in peer-reviewed journals and 26 book chapters. He served as Additional Director of Neurology at Medanta – The Medicity from 2009 to 2016. During this time, he led the Movement Disorders and Headache programs there. Consequently, he is a trusted and respected name in neurology across India.
