He completed his MD in Radiotherapy from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, in 1977. Following his graduation, Dr. Pande began his illustrious career at Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai, where he was pivotal in establishing neuro-oncology and pediatric oncology services. In 1997, he transitioned to Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi, where he modernized the radiation oncology department and enhanced the facility for stereotactic radiotherapy.
In 2005, Dr. Pande took on the role of Director of Medical Services at Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Jaipur, contributing to the commissioning of the state’s first linear accelerator. He has a particular interest in Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and PET scan-based cancer management techniques. Dr. Pande is actively involved in various professional organizations, serving as the Secretary General of the Association of Radiation Oncologists of India (AROI) and participating in several international oncology societies.
