Dr. Subhramania Iyer

Dr. Subramania Iyer serves as the Head of the Department of Head and Neck Surgery at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, with more than 40 years of extensive experience in head and neck oncology and reconstructive surgery. He completed MS in Otorhinolaryngology from AIIMS, New Delhi, followed by MCh in Plastic Surgery from the University of Calicut and holds FRCS qualification. After graduating from Medical College Kottayam, he received advanced surgical training and international exposure in the United Kingdom, where he worked for five years in Plastic Surgery and Head & Neck Surgery. In 2003, he joined Amrita Hospital, Kochi and played a key role in developing a comprehensive department of Head & Neck, Plastic & Reconstructive, and Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery, contributing significantly to academic and clinical excellence.

In his clinical career, he has worked at leading national and international centres focusing on complex oncologic and reconstructive procedures. He established advanced programs in head and neck oncology, microvascular reconstruction, and craniofacial surgery. He actively contributes to surgical training and multidisciplinary cancer care development. His expertise combines high-end surgical precision with advanced reconstructive techniques, ensuring functional and aesthetic outcomes for patients undergoing complex cancer surgeries.
