Dr. Shashank Rastogi

Dr. Shashank Rastogi is a renowned laparoscopic and bariatric surgeon with over 27 years of clinical experience, including more than 25 years as a specialist. He currently serves as Director of GI, Minimal Access, Bariatric and Robotic Surgery at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. Prior to this, he worked for over a decade at Apollo Hospital as a Consultant Laparoscopic Surgeon. Known for his expertise and compassionate approach, Dr. Rastogi believes in empowering patients through informed decision-making and is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of surgical care.

He completed his MBBS from Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University and pursued MS in General Surgery from the prestigious King Edward Memorial (KEM) Hospital, Mumbai. Further enhancing his skills, he earned the FIAGES (Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo-Surgeons) and also completed a management program (PGDBM) from IIM Lucknow. Dr. Rastogi holds memberships in several respected organizations, including IAGES, SELSI, and the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine, reflecting his commitment to continued learning and professional excellence.

Dr. Rastogi’s key interests include minimal access surgery, bariatric and hiatal surgeries, colorectal procedures, single-port laparoscopic surgeries, and soft tissue surgery. He specializes in a wide range of treatments such as laparoscopic hernia repair, gallbladder stone surgery, laser surgery for piles and fissure, stapler circumcision, and obesity surgery.
