Dr. Satyendra Katewa is a renowned pediatric hematologist-oncologist and bone marrow transplant (BMT) specialist with over two decades of experience. He graduated from S P Medical College, Bikaner, and completed his DNB in Pediatrics from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Dr. Katewa further specialized in pediatric hematology-oncology and BMT through fellowships at the University of Toronto and SickKids Hospital in Canada, and also completed an observership in Bone Marrow Transplants and Primary Immunodeficiency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, USA.

Dr. Katewa is a pioneer in pediatric bone marrow transplants in India, having performed the country’s first haploidentical bone marrow transplant for children. He specializes in treating various childhood cancers, including blood cancers, brain tumors, neuroblastoma, and Wilms’ tumor. Additionally, he manages complex cases of thalassemia, sickle cell disease, and primary immunodeficiency disorders. His expertise in BMT, especially in matched and mismatched cases, has transformed pediatric oncology care. Dr. Katewa has received several awards, including the Best Resident Award at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and a scholarship from the International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP).
