Dr. Ripen Gupta

Dr. Ripen Gupta is a highly experienced Interventional Cardiologist with over 28 years of extensive experience in the field. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman & Unit Head of Cardiology at Max Hospital, Saket. His academic journey began with an MBBS from Government Medical College, Punjabi University, Punjab, in 1993. He then earned his MD in Internal Medicine from the same institution in 1996. Subsequently, he pursued his DM in Cardiology from King George’s Medical College, Lucknow University, in 1998. He also completed a Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology (FNB) from the National Board of Examination in 2003. He has worked at several prestigious institutions including AIIMS, New Delhi, Escorts Heart Institute, CMC Ludhiana, and Fortis Hospital. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

Additionally, Dr. Gupta specializes in Complex Coronary Interventions (especially through the radial route), Electrophysiology Study and Radio Frequency Ablations, Device Implantation (including Combo devices), Peripheral Interventions including Bronchial and Renal Artery Embolization, and Balloon Valvuloplasty. He has received numerous academic awards during his MBBS including Gold Medal in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Silver Medals in ENT and aggregate, and Bronze Medals in Anatomy, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Surgery, and aggregate. He is a Fellow of the Cardiological Society of India and a Life Member of the Indian Medical Association, the Indian Society of Cardiology, and the Indian Heart Rhythm Society.
