Dr. Rayaz Ahmed

Dr. Rayaz Ahmed is a highly accomplished hematologist and bone marrow transplant specialist with over 15 years of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Haematology and Bone Marrow Transplant at Max Hospital, Saket. His medical journey began with an MBBS from Rajasthan University of Health Science, Jaipur, in 2000. Subsequently, he earned his MD in Pathology from Shivaji University, Kolhapur, in 2003, where he received a Gold Medal. A DM in Clinical Haematology from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University was pursued next in 2010. He has over 17 years of experience and has performed more than 1,000 bone marrow transplants. Prior to his current role, he worked as a Consultant at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, Delhi. He also served as Associate Professor at CMC Vellore. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

Additionally, Dr. Ahmed specializes in Autologous, Allogeneic (MSD, MUD, Haplo), and Matched Unrelated Stem Cell Transplants. These include studies on splenectomy in ITP, imatinib adherence in CML, and BRAF mutations in hairy cell leukemia. Research on fludarabine conditioning in aplastic anemia and treosulfan-based conditioning in thalassemia has also been contributed by him.
