Dr. Rama Joshi

Dr. Rama Joshi is a distinguished Gynae Oncologist with over 40 years of experience and currently leads as the Chairman of Gynae Oncology and Robotic Surgery at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. Renowned for her proficiency in radical surgeries for gynecological cancers, she also brings over a decade of expertise in robotic-assisted procedures. Her academic journey includes an MBBS degree with a gold medal and an MS in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Additionally, she completed her fellowship in Gynae Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, and earned the prestigious UICC Fellowship from Buffalo General Hospital, New York, USA—an achievement that reflects her commitment to clinical excellence.

To further refine her skills, Dr. Joshi pursued advanced robotic surgery training at the da Vinci Intuitive Institute in California. She also trained at globally respected institutions such as the Comprehensive Cancer Centre at the University of Michigan, USA, and the University of Lyon, France. Over the years, she has held leadership roles as Head of Department at multiple reputed hospitals across Delhi-NCR. Her core areas of focus include ovarian, cervical, and endometrial cancer, with a special emphasis on minimally invasive and robotic techniques. Not only does she bring precision to her surgical approach, but she also ensures compassionate and patient-centered care.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Joshi has received several accolades, including six gold medals, the Pfizer Postgraduate Gold Medal, and the Bhamashah Award. In 2017, she was honored with the Double Helical National Health Award and the Gold Award for exceptional contributions to women’s cancer care and management.
