About Dr. Praveen Khilnani

Dr. Praveen Khilnani is a highly respected pediatrician and pediatric intensivist. He has over 40 years of experience in treating critically ill children. He currently serves as Chairman of Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care, and Pediatric Pulmonology at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram. Over the years, he has played a major role in developing pediatric critical care services in India. Moreover, he is known for his expertise in pediatric pulmonology and neonatal care. He also specializes in advanced bronchoscopy procedures. In addition, he provides focused care for critically ill infants and children. He received the prestigious Master of Critical Care Medicine (MCCM) from the American College of Critical Care Medicine. Notably, he is the only Indian to receive this honor. He was also awarded the Vishisht Chikitsa Ratan Award by the Indian Medical Association.

Dr. Khilnani completed his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi. He later pursued MD in Anaesthesiology from AIIMS, New Delhi. Furthermore, he trained at Harvard Medical School. His training included Pediatric Critical Care, Cardiac Critical Care, and Neonatal Intensive Care. He worked at Massachusetts General Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital. As a result, he follows global standards in treatment. His approach focuses on advanced care and patient safety. Therefore, he remains a leading expert in pediatric critical care in India.
