Dr. Pramod Kumar Julka is a highly distinguished Medical Oncologist with over 47 years of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman at Max Hospital, Saket. His academic journey began with an MD in Radiotherapy & Oncology from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He received higher training at M.D. Anderson Hospital, Houston, Texas, under a WHO Fellowship. He also trained at Long Beach Memorial Cancer Centre, California. He served as Dean – Academics and Professor at AIIMS, New Delhi. Additionally, he is a Fellow (FAMS) of the National Academy of Medical Sciences. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.
Moreover, Dr. Julka has received numerous prestigious awards. He performed the first Peripheral Blood Stem Cell transplant in India on May 9, 1995. This feat is featured in the Limca Book of Records. He has received the IMA Award for Medical Education and Research. He also received the OISCA Foundation Award (UN Award) in 2001. Furthermore, he received the ‘Leading Scientist of the World 2005’ Award. He was also honored with the Padma Shri Award in 2013.
