Dr. Peeyush Jain

Dr. Peeyush Jain is a highly experienced Non-Invasive Cardiologist with over 38 years of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology and Head of the Department of Preventive Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Okhla. His academic journey began with an MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, from 1973 to 1978. He then earned his MD in Medicine from the same institute. Subsequently, he completed his post-doctoral fellowship in Cardiology (DM) from GB Pant Hospital in 1987. AIIMS, New Delhi, was also his workplace for some time. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

He is an internationally renowned expert in Cholesterol Management, Hypertension, Diabetes, and Cardiovascular Nutrition. Long-term care of heart and blood vessel diseases is also his specialty. He joined Fortis-Escorts Heart Institute in 1993 to establish the first Department of Preventive and Rehabilitative Cardiology in the country. The concept of preventing heart disease through lifestyle and risk factor management was virtually unknown in India at that time. Regular guest faculty at National and International Conferences is his role. Editor in Chief of The Heart of the Matter from 1996 to 2006 was his responsibility. Sixteen books on Medicine and Health have been authored by him in English and several regional languages. One book was also translated into Indonesian. More than 100 articles in medical and health journals have been published by him. Consequently, he is a globally recognized and trusted name in non-invasive and preventive cardiology.
