Dr. Parul Maheshwari Sharma

Dr. Parul Maheshwari Sharma is a highly distinguished ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. She serves as the Principal Director and Head of Ophthalmology at Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon. Dr. Sharma completed her MBBS, MS, DNB, MNAMS, and FICO, with post-graduation from JNMC, Aligarh Muslim University. She has received advanced training from premier institutions including Moorfields Eye Hospital (London), LV Prasad Eye Institute (Hyderabad), and Singapore National Eye Centre. Her clinical expertise spans across cataract surgery (FEMTO bladeless and micro phacoemulsification), refractive procedures (Lasik, PRK, Phakic ICL), glaucoma, squint, keratoconus, and pediatric eye care.

Throughout her career, Dr. Sharma has held key roles such as Glaucoma Services Incharge at Perfect Vision Eye Hospital and Senior Consultant at Centre for Sight, Max Med Centre, and Lions Hospital in New Delhi. She has also contributed as Course Instructor at Phaco Academy and has been actively involved in organizing and conducting CME sessions, live surgeries, and wet lab training workshops. She has been a prominent speaker and judge at national ophthalmic conferences and has served on the editorial board of the D.O.S. Times. Dr. Sharma’s passion for education and innovation in ophthalmology is widely respected among peers and trainees.
