Dr. Nikhil Kumar

Dr. Nikhil Kumar is a highly accomplished interventional cardiologist with more than 44 years of medical experience. His proficiency in complex cardiac procedures such as cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), pacemaker and AICD implantation, and rotational atherectomy has made him a respected name in cardiology. Over the years, he has performed thousands of successful interventions, earning commendations from the Chief of Army Staff and General Officer Commanding-in-Chief for his outstanding contributions to cardiac care.

He completed his MBBS and MD in Medicine from the Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, followed by a DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. Dr. Kumar has held several senior positions, including Director of Cardiology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute in Gurgaon, Metro Group of Hospitals in Delhi, and Yashoda Super Specialty Hospitals in Ghaziabad. Earlier, he also served as Head of Cardiology at the prestigious Army Hospital (Research & Referral) in New Delhi, where he led several academic and clinical initiatives.

His areas of expertise span interventional, non-invasive, and preventive cardiology. In addition to coronary angioplasty, he is adept in procedures like renal and peripheral angioplasty, valvuloplasty, and device closures of congenital heart defects. Moreover, he has published several papers in reputed national and international journals, further strengthening his reputation in the medical community.
