He obtained his MBBS and MD from Jamnagar, Gujarat, and earned his DM in Clinical Hematology from NRS Medical College, Kolkata. Further enhancing his expertise, he completed a fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplant at Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata, and received specialist training in BMT and CART Cell Therapy at Kings College, London. Dr. Kumar has successfully conducted over 700 bone marrow transplants, including complex procedures such as autologous, allogeneic, matched unrelated, and haplo-identical transplants. His professional journey includes significant tenures at renowned institutions like Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, SGPGI Lucknow, BL Kapoor Hospital, and Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. Notably, he pioneered the establishment of the first Bone Marrow Transplant Center in a State Government setup in Vadodara, Gujarat.
