Dr. Kulbhushan Singh Dagar

Dr. Kulbhushan Singh Dagar is a highly accomplished cardiac surgeon with over 32 years of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Chairman of Neonatal & Congenital Heart Surgery at Max Hospital, Saket. His journey in cardiac surgery spans more than 21 years. The last decade and a half has been dedicated exclusively to infants and children with congenital heart defects. He completed his MBBS and MS from S N Medical College, Agra, in 1987 and 1991. Subsequently, he earned his MCh in Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi, in 1994. He further distinguished himself as a Specialist Registrar at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London. There, he was initiated into Extra Corporeal Life Support and Heart Transplant techniques. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

Additionally, Dr. Dagar has operated upon the entire spectrum of Congenital Cardiac Defects in newborns and children. This includes the most complex and challenging cases regardless of their severity. Innovative techniques and leading-edge technologies are leveraged by him for his patients. He has served as Director of Paediatric Cardiac Programmes at Lotus Children’s Hospital, Hyderabad. He also held the same position at Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi. Moreover, he has published extensively in national and international peer-reviewed journals. Several book chapters in medical textbooks have also been authored by him. The 1st Prize for “Management of Cardiopulmonary Bypass in Infants with Sickle Cell Disease” was received by him at ISCET.
