Dr. Harshavardhan Hegde

Dr. Harshavardhan Hegde is a highly experienced Orthopaedic and Spine Surgeon with over 40 years of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Senior Director at Max Hospital, Saket. His medical journey began with an MBBS in 1983. He then completed his MS in Orthopaedics from Baroda Medical College in 1987. Fellowships at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, UK, and Klinikum Karlsbaad, Germany, were also undertaken by him. Specialist training in the US, Australia, Brussels, and Budapest was also completed. Professor & Head of Orthopaedics at Pramukh Swami Medical College, Karamsad, was another role he held. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

Additionally, he has over 3 decades of experience post-MS. Alembic Hospital, Vadodara, and Apollo Hospital, Gandhinagar, were where he headed Orthopaedic units. He moved to New Delhi in 2005. Max Hospitals, Artemis Hospital, Nova Bone & Joint Hospital, and Fortis Vasant Kunj have been his workplaces. One of the first persons in the country to perform robotic spinal surgery in 2013 was him. A regular visitor to the Sultanate of Oman as a Senior Consultant for over a decade is also his achievement. Extensive operations in the Middle East, Iraq, and Africa have been performed by him. Consequently, he is a globally recognized and trusted name in orthopaedics and spine surgery.
