Dr. Giriraj Bora

Dr. Giriraj Bora is a highly accomplished Liver Transplant, Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB), and Gastrointestinal Surgeon with over 22 years of experience in advanced liver surgery and organ transplantation. He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from JLN Medical College, Ajmer. Thereafter, he pursued advanced GI Surgery training at SGPGIMS, Lucknow. Subsequently, he earned his MCh in HPB and Gastrointestinal Surgery from G.B. Pant Hospital, Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Moreover, he is a founding member of the Liver Transplant Society of India and is widely recognized for his expertise in robotic and laparoscopic liver surgery. Since joining Artemis Hospitals in 2016, he has played a vital role in developing one of India’s most advanced liver transplant programs. As a result, the department has achieved several national and international milestones in liver transplantation.

Furthermore, Dr. Bora has successfully performed more than 2,000 liver transplants, including both living donor and deceased donor procedures. In addition, he performed Rajasthan’s first liver transplant and led the state’s first living donor and deceased donor liver transplant surgeries. Moreover, he specializes in complex liver, pancreas, bile duct, and gastrointestinal surgeries using minimally invasive and robotic techniques. He has also presented his work at prestigious international conferences, including ILTS meetings in San Francisco and Sydney.
