Dr. Dinesh Balakrishnan is a highly experienced Gastrointestinal Surgeon and Clinical Professor currently associated with Amrita Hospital. With 29 years of experience, he has built strong expertise in digestive diseases, gastrointestinal surgery, surgical oncology, and solid organ transplantation. He completed his MBBS from Medical College Calicut and MS in General Surgery from Medical College Kottayam, followed by DNB training in Gastrointestinal Surgery. He further enhanced his expertise as a Senior Clinical Fellow in Solid Organ Transplant Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, where he gained advanced exposure in multivisceral transplant procedures and organ retrieval techniques.
