Dr. Charu Garg

Dr. Charu Garg is a highly accomplished radiation oncologist with over 24 years of extensive experience. She currently serves as the Vice Chairman of Radiation Oncology at Max Hospital, Saket. Her medical journey began with an MBBS from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad. Subsequently, she earned her MD in Radiation Oncology from Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad. She has over 19 years of post-MD experience in Oncology and Radiation Oncology. Advanced training in Manheim, Germany, was also undertaken by her. Prior to her current role, she worked at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer and Research Institute for 7 years. She also worked at Medanta – The Medicity for 1 year. Therefore, her training and credentials are truly world-class.

Additionally, Dr. Garg has a special interest in treating women cancers with a special focus on breast and gynaecological cancers. Training in IMRT, IGRT, SRS Brain, Extra Cranial SBRT, and Brachytherapy has also been received by her. Breast, Gynaecology, and Thoracic Oncology are her key specialties. She joined Max Healthcare as Senior Consultant in Radiation Oncology in 2011. Moreover, she is a member of ASTRO, Oncology Forum, ISO, and AROI. Consequently, she is a globally recognized and trusted name in radiation oncology.
