Dr. Bhushan Dinkar Thombare

Dr. Bhushan Dinkar Thombare is a highly skilled thoracic surgeon with over 19 years of experience in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted thoracic surgeries. He is India’s first National Board Certified Thoracic Surgeon and has extensive expertise in Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS), Robotic-Assisted Thoracic Surgery (RATS), and Uniportal Surgery. Dr. Thombare specializes in lung and esophageal cancer surgeries, chest wall tumor resection, rib cage trauma fixation, and non-intubated thoracic surgeries (NIVATS). He has pioneered Hyperthermic Intrathoracic Chemotherapy (HITHOC) for select cancer cases and is known for performing endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy (ETS) and ETS reversal. His work in lung transplantation has contributed significantly to the treatment of end-stage lung disease, COPD, and interstitial lung disease.
