Dr. Ashok Omar

Dr. Ashok Omar is a highly experienced Non-Invasive Cardiologist with over 33 years of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Director of Non-Invasive Cardiology at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute, Okhla. His academic journey began with an MBBS from GSVM Medical College, Kanpur, in 1976. He then earned his MD in Medicine from the same institution in 1981. Cardiology training at the National Heart Institute, New Delhi, was completed by him from 1982 to 1987. He joined Escorts Heart Institute as a Consultant Cardiologist in 1988. Therefore, his training and credentials are truly world-class.

More than 100 research papers including abstracts in various International and National Journals are credited to his name. He also received the Award for Distinguished Clinical Services from the President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam. The “Swajatiya Bhushan” award from Omar Vaishya Mahasabha in 2006 was also given to him.
