Dr. Arif Wahab

Dr. Arif Wahab is a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist with over 14 years of experience, currently serving as a Consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi. He holds an MD in Medicine and a DM in Cardiology from the prestigious HRMC, Sardar Patel Medical College, Bikaner. Over the years, he has gained extensive expertise in adult cardiac catheterization, coronary angiography, and angioplasty, including PTCA, intra-coronary stents, and thrombectomy. His proficiency extends to non-coronary interventions such as balloon valvuloplasty, PDA closure, pericardial interventions, peripheral and carotid angioplasty, and the insertion of permanent pacemakers and AICDs. Dr. Wahab has performed over 8,000 coronary procedures, with more than 95% of them conducted using the transradial approach, ensuring quicker recovery and better patient outcomes.

Apart from clinical excellence, Dr. Wahab is deeply involved in academics and research. He was a key contributor to the landmark MiD trial and has over 20 national and international publications in reputed medical journals. He has also authored chapters in cardiology textbooks.
