About Dr. Anjali Nayar
Dr. Anjali Nayar is a seasoned Pediatrician with over 40 years of clinical experience, including 31 years as a specialist in child health. After earning her MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College in 1985 and MD in Pediatrics from Safdarjung Hospital in 1989, she pursued advanced training in the UK. She completed her MRCP in Pediatrics in 1999 and was honored with the FRCPCH in 2004, becoming the first Indian pediatrician to receive the UK’s Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST). Her international career includes serving as a Consultant Pediatrician in the National Health Service (UK), Oman’s Ministry of Health, and India’s top government hospitals.
Throughout her career, Dr. Nayar has shown a deep commitment to pediatric development, preventive care, and education. Her areas of interest span general pediatrics, neonatology, infant nutrition, and childhood respiratory illnesses such as asthma. She is also a certified master trainer in adolescent life skills and newborn resuscitation. Her passion for holistic child development reflects in her research work focused on the survival and protection of the girl child. Furthermore, she has mentored countless students and professionals, both in India and the UK, strengthening pediatric training standards.
