Dr. Alok Thakar

Dr. Alok Thakar is a highly distinguished ENT, Skull Base, and Head-Neck Oncosurgeon with over three decades of extensive experience. He currently serves as the Director of Head & Neck Cancer, Thyroid & Parathyroid Surgery at Medanta Noida. His academic journey began with an MBBS from AIIMS, New Delhi. He then earned his MS in ENT (Gold Medalist) from the same institution. Additionally, he holds a DNB in ENT from the National Academy of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He also earned his DLO from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Moreover, he holds an FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He previously served as Head of the National Cancer Institute, AIIMS New Delhi. He also served as Professor & Chairman of the Department of ENT & Head-Neck Surgery at AIIMS. He is a pioneer of Trans-Oral Robotic Surgery (TORS) in India. He has led advances in laryngeal preservation, laser surgery, and endoscopic skull base surgery.
