Dr. Abhijeet Umesh Desai

Dr. Abhijeet Umesh Desai is a highly respected ophthalmologist with over 25 years of experience in the field. He currently serves as the Principal Consultant in Ophthalmology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. Dr. Desai has earned his MBBS, MS, DOMS, and DNB degrees, and holds the prestigious Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCS), Edinburgh. He has also received advanced training at the esteemed Moorfields Eye Hospital in London. As a pioneer in Image-Guided Cataract Surgery and 3D surgeries, Dr. Desai has contributed significantly to advancements in ophthalmic procedures and medical training.

Dr. Desai has held teaching and surgical roles at leading institutes and hospitals including Max Hospital Gurgaon, Bhaktivedanta Eye Hospital Mumbai, Hinduja Hospital, and Dr. Agarwal Eye Hospitals (Sohum Eye Centre). His expertise lies in oculoplastic surgery, cataract, aesthetic lid correction, and lacrimal procedures. He has also conducted over 22 years of phacoemulsification training programs for international ophthalmologists.
