About Dr. A Sen Gupta

Dr. A Sen Gupta is a highly accomplished Neonatologist with over 48 years of experience in neonatal intensive care and pediatric medicine. He has played a pivotal role in advancing neonatal care both in India and internationally. As a national faculty member, he has organized and led numerous conferences, workshops, and Continuing Medical Education (CME) programs for prestigious organizations such as the Indian Academy of Pediatrics (IAP), the National Neonatology Forum (NNF) India, and the Development and Supportive Care (DSC) Foundation for Newborn & Children (India).

Dr. Sengupta has trained over 2,000 neonatal caregivers across India and abroad, with a strong focus on Developmentally Supportive Care (DSC) in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs). His work has significantly contributed to improving neurodevelopmental outcomes and ensuring the intact survival of preterm and critically ill infants. He currently serves as the Director of the Mother and Child Unit at Paras Hospitals, Gurgaon, and has previously held leadership roles at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science & Research, New Delhi. His expertise includes neonatal neurodevelopmental care, NICU Level III management, and policy development in newborn health. Through his extensive contributions to research, training, and clinical practice, Dr. Sengupta continues to enhance neonatal care standards in India.
