About Dr. Vinod Raina
Dr. Vinod Raina is one of India’s most respected and experienced medical oncologists, with over 40 years of dedicated service in cancer care. Currently serving as the Executive Director and Chairperson of Oncosciences at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI), Gurugram, Dr. Raina has made significant contributions to treating adult cancers, including breast, lung, gastrointestinal, urological, gynecological cancers, lymphomas, and myelomas. He has personally conducted around 400 bone marrow and stem cell transplants, establishing himself as a leader in complex cancer treatments.
Before joining FMRI in 2013, Dr. Raina held prestigious roles at AIIMS, New Delhi, including Professor and Head of Medical Oncology for over two decades. He was also a prominent researcher, leading around 50 research projects and co-founding the INDOX network to promote collaborative cancer research in India. His academic influence is profound, having mentored nearly 70 DM and resident doctors who now hold key medical positions worldwide.
