About the doctor
- With a focus on gastrointestinal, hepatopancreaticobiliary, and peritoneal surface malignancies (HIPEC), Dr. Tapan Singh Chauhan is an MCh Surgical Oncologist. He graduated with a Master of Science in General Surgery from the esteemed Pt. B.D. Sharma PGIMS Rohtak. He received his surgical oncology training from Dr. B. R. A. Irch, AIIMS, New Delhi, and Gujarat Cancer Research Institute, Ahmedabad, two of the nation’s top oncology institutions. He held a number of fellowship positions with Prof. Marcus Buechler at Heidelberg (HPB oncology) and Dr. T. Subramaneshwar Rao at the Indo-American Cancer Institute, Hyderabad (MIS), in order to further his interest in GI oncology and minimally invasive surgery. In Lyon, France, under the direction of Prof. Olivier Glehen, he received an ESSO Fellowship in Cytoreductive Surgery and HIPEC as well as a Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS).
Dr. Tapan has several publications in prestigious journals to his name, as well as presentations of papers at numerous national and international conferences.
