About the doctor
- Radiation oncology specialist Dr. Subodh Pande has a lengthy and extensive background in both clinical practice and academic training. He served at the Tata Memorial Hospital in Mumbai where he was instrumental in establishing its neurooncology and pediatric oncology services after receiving his MD in radiotherapy from the AIIMS, New Delhi, in 1977. In 1997, he relocated to the Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi where he assisted in modernizing the radiation oncology department and upgrading the facility for stereotactic radiotherapy. He was hired in 2005 as the Director of Medical Services at the Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital and Research Centre in Jaipur, where he also played a key role in the commissioning of the state’s first linear accelerator. Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT) and cancer management methods based on PET scans are of particular interest to Dr. Pande.
