  • Dr. S. R. Goyal has a wealth of experience in the fields of critical care, immunology, sleep medicine, and respiratory medicine.     At VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital in New Delhi, Dr. Goyal finished his residency in the department of pulmonary critical care and sleep medicine under Prof. (Dr.) J. C. Suri, who is credited with founding the nation’s first sleep laboratory.

    He has presented his work at numerous academic gatherings, including the NAPCON, TESCON, PULMOCON, ICONIC, Indian Science Congress (ISC), and the World Congress of the European Respiratory Society (ERS). He traveled to National University Hospital (NUH), Singapore, while working at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital to acquire training in bronchial thermoplasty and bronchoscopy lung volume reduction.

    Dr. David Breen of Ireland provided training in the rigid bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy technique in 2014.

    He also participated in an advanced interventional pulmonary and thoracic ultrasound course at the ERS in Munich, Germany, where he learnt how to put endobronchial stents and perform endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS – Linear & Radial Probe).

    At Pmocrit – All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), India, he acquired training in Sleep Medicine (Diagnosis plus Management). certified by the Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute in New Delhi, India, in the diagnosis and management of respiratory allergies (immunology).
