About Dr. rajiv parakh
Dr. Rajiv Parakh is a highly experienced vascular surgeon with over 38 years of expertise. He currently serves as Chairman of Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular Sciences at Medanta – The Medicity, Gurugram. He is widely recognized for his work in vascular and endovascular surgery. Moreover, he trained in the United Kingdom and earned his FRCS qualification. After returning to India, he established one of the first independent departments of vascular surgery in 1990. In addition, he is a founder member of the Vascular Society of India and the Endovascular Intervention Society of India. He has also served as Secretary and later Vice President of the International Society for Vascular Surgery. Furthermore, he started the first government-recognized teaching program in vascular surgery in India. Therefore, he is considered a pioneer in advancing vascular care and education.
Dr. Parakh completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. He later pursued FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, UK. He specializes in advanced vascular procedures, including angioplasty, aneurysm repair, and varicose vein treatment. In addition, he is known for minimally invasive techniques such as EVLT and RFA. His approach focuses on precision, patient safety, and faster recovery. As a result, he is regarded as one of the leading vascular surgeons in India.
