His areas of expertise include esophageal cancer, variceal sclerosing therapy, endosonography, and colonoscopy. He was given the Young Investigator Award by APDW, and the Honorable President of India presented him with the Gold Medal. A specialist in therapeutic EUS gained knowledge from Japan and Denmark.
