Dr. Praveen Gupta

Dr. Praveen Gupta is the Principal Director & Chief of Neurology at Fortis Memorial Research Institute, Gurgaon. With over 27 years of medical experience, including 19 years as a neurologist, Dr. Gupta has made groundbreaking contributions in the field of Neurology. He was instrumental in setting up two neurology departments at leading hospitals—Paras and Artemis—where he managed some of the highest patient volumes in OPD (100+ patients/day) and IPD (50+ patients/day). Dr. Gupta pioneered the first stroke center in Gurgaon, was the first in the region to use Solitaire for mechanical thrombolysis, and introduced Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) in Gurgaon and DBS for epilepsy in Asia.

As a leading expert, Dr. Gupta specializes in comprehensive neurological care, ranging from stroke intervention and stroke rehabilitation to advanced treatments for multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, and Parkinson’s Disease. His department offers specialized procedures like Botox therapy, DBS surgery, and epilepsy surgery.
