About The Doctor
- Dr. Manish Jain graduated from PGIMS Rohtak’s MBBS program in 1996. He later earned his postgraduate MD in medicine and his DM in nephrology speciality from Chennai. In Vancouver, Canada’s University of British Columbia, he later completed a clinical fellowship. After receiving his DM, he initially accepted a position as Assistant Professor at Meenakshi Medical College in Kanchepuram, where he created the Nephrology Department and launched the Dialysis unit.
He joined Medanta The Medicity in 2010 after earning his Clinical Fellowship in Vancouver, Canada, and is now the Director of the Division of Nephrology & Renal Transplant Medicine there. He is an expert in renal illnesses with a focus on dialysis and kidney transplantation.
For his exceptional work and ongoing dedication to the Society and Community, he has received awards from the Indian College of Physicians (FICP) and the Indar Society of Nephrology (FISN).
His chapter on kidney transplantation in the elderly and those with diabetes was featured in the acclaimed OXFORD Book on Renal Transplantation in Developing Countries. He has published and presented more than 50 articles in books, journals, and conferences. In the book Case Studies in Nephrology: A Practical Approach, he serves as co-editor. This book will aid practicing physicians with their daily work, as well as nephrology fellows and postgraduate students getting ready for their exams in the field.
He served as an instructor and guide for DNB Nephrology.
Numerous national and international societies count him as a life member. His dedication to his work is admirable. He has arranged free medical check-up camps and is quite active in the social service area. He has carried out a number of social projects to raise awareness of kidney disease and early preventative measures. He frequently speaks on nephrology-related subjects.
