Chronic Otitis Media In India

Chronic Otitis Media In India

What is Chronic Media Otitis?

An acute bacterial infection called chronic otitis media (middle ear infection) frequently prevents your eardrums from moving. The mastoid bone (on the rear side of the ear) is also affected by this bacterial or viral infection in the middle ear area. The air holes in the mastoid bone drain the middle year. Infections frequently happen in cold temperatures or if water gets into the center of the year. This infection can develop from any other ear infection. Because it produces swelling and fluid buildup while the infection is present, it is a painful condition. Additionally, any chance of mastoid bone infection can result in dangerous medical conditions like skull infection or, in extreme circumstances, pus in the brain.
